Hop on Platform 9 ¾ for a Harry Potter inspired bathroom
We how have a Harry Potter inspired bathroom display at our Letchworth showroom and it has proved to be a massive hit with our customers!
You won’t need a port key or Floo Powder to transport to Hogwarts Halls; the materials and sanitaryware have been carefully chosen to replicate bathrooms of the wizarding world.
The dusky colour scheme has been achieved with the mastery pick of tiles. The rectified 30 x 60cm ‘Reused Mud’ tile by Arpa is shown on the walls. This porcelain tile has a perfect mottled stone effect finish that looks as genuine as the real thing! The Reused collection is suitably named as it provides a fusion between vintage and modern styles.
The floor is covered with wood effect porcelain tiles by Italian tile manufacturers ABK. The Dolphin Coal 20 x 120cm tile was inspired by wooden poles modelled by time and water. Paired with the Reused Mud tile, the room already looks like it is part of the Harry Potter set.
The sanitaryware in the bathroom follows the vintage-style, in particular the high level close coupled toilet with the intricate flush chain. The angular basin with full pedestal and period-inspired pillar design taps add a classic charm.
The shower compartment has a classy alcove in a gothic arch shape – a perfect area to store toiletries. The overhead rain shower head has an elaborate rounded design and shiny chrome finish, but the star of the show is the black squared glass shower screen by Novellini. The glass panel nods towards steel frames of yesteryear which looks great with the criss cross lattice window panes.
The bathroom is kept warm with the traditional matt black radiator by Eastbrook. This ties in well with the black frames within the glass and the additional towel attachment creates a Victorian touch of authenticity.
The bathroom also houses a beautiful arched mirror, clever wall lighting and vintage-look Burlington accessories which provide the perfect finishing touches.
