An accent of copper
We’ve all heard the popular saying that the kitchen is the heart of the home; it can certainly be said for this stunning kitchen designed and fitted by our team at Marabese. The focus is on the L-shaped island, where there’s ample space for friends to congregate, help out with the cooking or glance over at the TV screen opposite. The wine is conveniently stored in arm's reach in the nearby large wine cooler, incorporated within the island.
It cannot be seen from the image, but the island features stunning under-counter lighting around its perimeter. The decorative bulbs do not require much power but create visual interest and a powerful wow-factor!
The eye is immediately drawn to the dazzling Dekton worktops. Their ‘Trilium’ colour was inspired by the industrialized look of oxidized steel, featuring rich shades of brown, grey and black, finished with rusty coppery tones.
The Dekton worktop has a high resistance to heat – not an issue that it’s surrounding the hob and hot pots can be placed directly on the surface without any fear of damage. Also resistant to stains, however much coffee or wine is spilled when friends are getting merry! It’ll surely look amazing for years to come as it will not scratch, nor fade in time, despite the overhead spot lights and natural light streaming in through the window. But those who gaze on the magnificent worktop will likely not be resistant to the feeling of envy that it brings, they will inevitably crave a Dekton worktop for their own home!
The large 6 burner hob has a downdraft hood. This is excellent for use within an island where obviously there is no wall available on which to mount a standard hood and extractor. The hood is easily raised when it’s needed and then neatly stored away when not in use. This space-saving design provides a clear view to converse with visitors while cooking and achieves a clutter-free finish.
The washing-up area is also streamline, displaying products from Franke. The Kubus KBX 110-55 stainless steel undermount sink follows the contemporary design, giving clean lines and providing lots of counter space. This is paired with Franke’s Minerva Helix 3-in-1 kettle tap, delivering instant hot, cold and boiling water in a single space-saving unit. Visitor's love an instant water tap... they may even feel inclined to make their own tea and coffee!
The Kali Silicio kitchen units by Arredo3 have a handless design. They include abundant storage in the form of internal drawers for cutlery and deep pan drawers. The cobalt open elements storage adds character to the room and provides a gorgeous accent colour.
The decorative worktops create such an impression that there is no need to use fancy wall or floor tiles. The wall is plainly painted throughout the kitchen, so not to create too many contrasting patterns and keeping the look clean and fresh. The floor is covered in an understated yet beautiful wood effect tile: My Space Cognac tile by NovaBell.
The copper tones from the worktops are mirrored in the stainless-steel Fisher & Paykel appliances. The fridge freezer seamlessly integrates into the kitchen. It features a dedicated freezer bin for making ice and a streamline water dispenser, so there’s no need to store jugs of water inside the fridge.
If you’re one for baking, this kitchen will certainly not disappoint as it showcases not one, not two but four different ovens, as well as warming drawers! All made by Fisher & Paykel, the built-in pyrolytic ovens, microwave oven and steam oven will make the decision of what to cook for dinner so much harder. They all use cutting-edge technology to offer functions and cooking modes galore.
Above the workspace is a series of open shelves in an alluring blue colouring, designed to display prized possessions or perhaps anything that should be out of the kids’ reach!
