A kitchen to wine & dine in style!
Let us show you around this stunning kitchen in Turvey, Bedfordshire. It was expertly designed by Tanisha Burnett, who is based at Marabese in Bedford, and fitted to an impeccable standard by Mark Hill from Top Mark Carpentry. Having seen the finished product, we agree that a top job has been done by all!
Tanisha’s clients, Eric and Anna, were looking to update the kitchen in their beautiful quirky house which was built in 1828. The brief was to create something classy and modern which would both complement and conform with the interior of the rest of the home.
Eric and Anna loved the Porcelanosa Rodano Acero floor tiles they saw used in the Marabese showroom, so opted for the same in their kitchen. They asked for two-tone units with a mix of smooth and textured doors, which would complement each other as well as the chosen concrete-look floor. Arredo3’s Kali kitchen in Silico and Lavagna Matt provides this perfect combination in a handleless design which fits the desired contemporary look to a tee!
As with all Arredo3 kitchens, the selected design was completely custom-made, allowing for the seamless inclusion of some existing appliances which the clients wanted to keep. The darker grey base units are emphasised with the contrasting Super White Quartz worktops from Algarve Granite. They are mitred on the ends and wrap down the sides of the units giving an extra feature in a radiant polished finish.
Eric and Anna provided their own splashbacks since they have a well-established glazing company. We think they give an amazing backdrop, adding a prominent pop of colour to the room that is well worthy of being surrounded in lights!
Plenty of storage is a must-have in any kitchen and here we boast no shortage of base and wall units! Our clients liked the idea of having deep drawers to maximise storage and organise utensils so interior drawer inserts were added to cater for this. They were keen to have a built-in wine cooler as an eye-catching feature. It certainly attracts attention beside the colour matched bookshelf which, in addition to books, also displays an impressive array of illuminated gin glasses!
The copper finishing touches pick up on the metallic elements found in the room, and beautifully complement the shade of the splashback. We're proud of how this kitchen turned out and have a couple of extremely happy customers. In fact, they love their kitchen so much that they also had Tanisha design a study for them (again from Arredo3). This has recently been fitted, so watch this space for photos!
